Earlier today, I happened to notice an article on the 2010 Census posted on The Genetic Genealogist, and I thought it was interesting. The article also explains why we have to wait 72 years before we can view census records.

I think it's 100 yeas before we can view census data here in the UK. We had the 1901 census back in 2001 and we're getting the 1911 census next year (there's some clause as to why we're getting it early), then there'll be quite a wait for the next one.
